In 2017, Reggae and dancehall heavyweight champion Livingstone Etse Satekla professionally known as Stonebwoy started a new journey with afrobeat artiste Kelvynboy.
The story of how both met and commenced business was never known until the Burniton Music Group signee appeared on Celebrity Ride With Zionfelix program which shows on Angel TV Saturday afternoons. Kelvyn Brown as he is known privately tells the story of how he finally met the BMG boss who agreed to help him. He described the narrative as an encounter destined to happen.
According to him, he was invited to perform on Metro TV months back and that was when he met his mentor. The singer said during the chat with Zionfelix, host of the show that he was initially not willing to appear on the TV show when they first contacted his band since he was not going to be paid for the performance but later changed his decision because he would as well earn nothing for staying at home if he failed to attend the TV show.
Whilst on the Morning Ride show performing, Stonebwoy was in the makeup room enjoying the scene. The ‘Baafira’ hitmaker he said expressed interest in supporting his brand and that was when both started working together. Even before their meeting at Metro TV, Kelvynboy said he used to be a diehard fan of Stonebwoy and even had a tattoo of “BHiM” on his body.
Aside from the ink of “BHiM” on his body, the “Na You” hitmaker further divulged on the Celebrity Ride show that most people knew his love for the BET award-winner because he used to perform Stonebwoy’s songs anytime he was on stage to entertain them.
