Deputy minister for works and housing, Barbara Archer Ayisi has cautioned organisers of the Miss Ghana beauty pageant to be very careful.

The Miss Ghana pageant seems to have lost its prestige as organisers of the event have been bombarded with numerous controversies. It all began when Inna Patty, the current owner of Miss Ghana’s franchise holding company, Exclusive Events Ghana was reported to have told Stephanie Karikari, Miss Ghana 2010 in public that she was too ugly and therefore unfit to be on the same billboard with the then Miss World. Miss Ghana 2015, Antoinette Delali Kemavor, Miss Ghana 2013 Giuseppina Nana Akua Baafi and Miss Ghana 2017, Margaret Dery have all described Inna Patty as a manipulative pimp who runs a glorified escort agency masquerading around as a beauty pageant.

The latest to rock the pageant is news of First runner-up of the 2019 edition of the Miss Ghana beauty pageant, Sarah Odei Amoani resigning because she is unhappy with some demands required of her.

Commenting on these allegations in an interview with Zionfelix As a past delegate of the pageant, Honorable Ayisi strongly said the purpose of beauty pageants wasn’t to promote promiscuity and asked Inna to be careful of her operations.
The honourable who has personal experience in beauty pageants expressed her disappointment in the organisers for these allegations leveled against them. She said her hope that Inna would understand and manage fellow females adequately had been thwarted.

Honorable Barbara Ayisi spoke to Zionfelix at the just ended Ghana actors and entertainers award.
