After several months of publicity, the annual Golden Movie Awards, the event which aims at rewarding African moviemakers happened at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra on Saturday, June 2, 2018.
The organisers of the prestigious awards, NMJ Ghana honoured deserving filmmakers at the event hosted by top Ghanaian actress Joselyn Dumas and Nigerian comedian, A.Y. With the stars slaying on the red carpet with their beautiful outfits for the first part of the show, it was clear that this year’s awards was going to be the best since its inception and that actually happened.
This year’s show ended successfully with lots of excitement. An event of this nature could not have happened without the celebrities and it was breathtaking to see most of the A-list movie stars from Ghana at the 5th edition of the event.
Popular figures Zionfelix.net saw at the 2018 Golden Movie Awards were Kofi Adjorlolo, Nana Ama McBrown, Jackie Appiah, Nikki Samonas, Peter Richie, Lydia Forson, Shirley Frimpong-Manson, Kafui Danku, Tima Kumkum, D-Black and many others.
Adina, Kobi Rana, rapper Edem and few other musicians entertained the patrons who attend the event.
