Actor Mr Beautiful has opened up about the personal heartbreak that ended his marriage, revealing for the first time that he is divorced, contrary to public belief that he had never tied the knot.
Speaking on Emelia Brobbey’s talk show, the Kumawood actor recounted how introducing a close friend to his wife eventually became the beginning of problems in the marriage. According to him, the friendship later developed into a source of tension that tore the relationship apart.
Although he chose not to go into full detail about what happened, Mr Beautiful said the betrayal left a painful mark on his life, particularly because the person involved was a Christian.
“I befriended someone whom I introduced to my wife, and the two of them ended my marriage. The person is a Christian, and that has left me with a deep scar. I don’t trust Christians anymore; they are the most wicked people,” he said.
The actor explained that the experience has significantly changed the way he views relationships and trust. He noted that he has become more cautious around Christians and now feels more comfortable dealing with Muslims and people from northern Ghana.

Despite the collapse of the marriage, Mr Beautiful disclosed that he and his ex-wife have managed to maintain a healthy friendship. According to him, they remain in touch constantly and still enjoy each other’s company through regular conversations.
He revealed that they speak on the phone every day, sharing jokes and laughter as though nothing had changed between them. The actor added that they had already spoken twice before he appeared for the interview that morning.
“My wife and I are very good friends. We speak every day on the phone. We joke and laugh together. In fact, we have spoken twice this morning,” he said.
Mr Beautiful, however, made it clear that reconciliation is off the table. He said the separation was meant to happen and neither of them intends to revisit the marriage.
