Nii Ayitey Hammond’s shade targeted at 3Music Awards has been condemned by music producer, Wei Ye Oteng.
After the 22nd Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Nii Ayitey Hammond, a board member of the VGMA subtly jabbed the organizers of 3Music Awards.
According to him, the VGMA was a live award ceremony while their competitors organized a video award.
Reacting to this, Wei Ye Oteng in a post-Zionfelix.net chanced upon stated that Nii’s comment was unfortunate.
He argued that 3Music has appreciated and shared the high moments of VGMA—so the board member’s statement was needless.
Wei Ye Oteng wrote: “This post is unfortunately unfortunate coming from a one respected industry personality like Nii Ayitey, 3music has been appreciating the VGMAs by sharing its high moments for the love and support of the industry. Yet you have industry wreckers who think no one’s efforts matters aside theirs, well #3musicawards21 gave the industry some new standards from young blood who had no major support from any major company (correct me if I’m wrong) and we really appreciate it, the monopoly in our awards scheme is broken it some ppl are peeved, #3music awards is for the ppl by de ppl and only God will stop them. Hypocrisy no good my broad. #Otengbeats #WYO #Obrafour #drumlyneent #TheSmoke #behindthesmoke #VGMA22.”
