The Film Producers Association of Ghana, FIPAG has set a new date for the demonstration planned against telenovelas with Twi voice-overs, Zionfelix.net can say.

PRO for the group, Mrs. Rosaline Osei early Monday morning told Zionfelix.net in an interview that the protest will happen on September 14 this year. The march she continued will start from the Cultural Center through the principal streets of Kumasi to Manhyia where they will petition Osei Tutu II.

The association postponed the event from August 31 after stakeholders of the movie industry from other regions expressed interest in joining the demo happening in the Garden City.

“This issue is on the heart of many moviemakers so most people in other regions have decided to join us for government to know how serious it is. Because of them, we have rescheduled it so that we will have time to bus all of them to Kumasi and give them nice reception when they are here.” Mrs Osei explained to Zionfelix on Radio Univers in Accra why they had to postpone the event.
