Season gospel musician Obaa Yaa, formerly known as Grace Ashly, has released a very touching tribute song for NPP’s Sir John following his passing after a short illness believed to be COVID-19.

The award-winning singer dropped the rather sorrowful tune for the NPP stalwart known in real life as Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie.

Obaa Yaa eulogised the former CEO of the Forestry Commission as she cried over his passing and how a huge gap had been left because he was no more.

She added that Ghana had lost a great personality in Mr Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie affectionately called Sir John.

The whole of the country was left in deep shock after it was reported that Sir John had passed on a few days ago at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.

Many people including President Akufo-Addo have commiserated with Sir John’s family.

It is reported that the Sir JOhn was yet to bury his mother and sister prior to his unfortunate passing.
