Mr. Isaac Twum-Ampofo, husband of Ghanaian gospel musician, Ohemaa Mercy, has disclosed that his wife’s calling and focus isn’t winning awards and as such is not bothered about being sidelined by award organisers.

It has been observed that regardless of Ohemaa’s dynamism in the industry she hasn’t been prominent in the country’s most prestigious music awards, the VGMAs held in recent years.

Reacting to this, Mr. Twum-Ampofo who doubles as her manager told Zionfelix that their ministry prioritizes having a positive impact on people rather than be award oriented.

He described awards as complimentary and further advised other musicians to desist from chasing awards.

He explained that; “failure to win those desired awards may get you disappointed and that may even take a toll on your ministry.”

Mr. Twum Ampofo and Zionfelix spoke at the end of the launch of this year’s Tehilla experience.
