The image of a packed stadium no longer defines success for Okyeame Kwame. The veteran Hiplife artiste says that the chapter of ambition has faded, replaced by a deeper interest in personal fulfilment and meaningful impact.

During a recent discussion on Talk To Kula, he opened up about how time has reshaped his outlook. What once felt like a career peak now sits lower on his list of priorities, as he leans into a calmer and more introspective way of living.

“When I was much younger, I wanted to do that, but now I’m happier sitting by a river and thinking to myself. That, for me, is more fulfilling than filling a stadium. I want to be happy. All things being equal, I have less than 50 years on earth, so I want to enjoy myself. I’m not about to carry on too many problems,” he said.

Even so, he has not ruled out the possibility entirely. The difference, he explained, is that it is no longer something he actively chases.

“I am not interested in doing that. However, when it gets to a point where it is possible for me to do it, I won’t say I wouldn’t, but I’m not fixated on those things,” he stated.

What now guides him is a stronger pull toward influence and contribution, particularly within Ghana’s development space.

“I am more interested in impact, especially in Ghana, through the music, through learning new things, and through interacting with people who want to bring development into the country. That is more of my direction now,” Okyeame Kwame clarified.
