Ghanaian musician Orkortor Perry has touched the hearts of many after rewarding his longtime sound engineer, Samuel Oja Walker, popularly known as 420 Drumz, with a Toyota Camry in appreciation of his loyalty and contribution to his music career.
The presentation took place at 420 Drumz’s residence on Sunday, September 27, 2026.
During the presentation, Orkortor Perry explained that he had been looking for an appropriate way to appreciate 420 Drumz for his dedication and commitment throughout the years.
According to him, despite working together for more than a decade, 420 Drumz had never taken a pesewa from him, something the musician said had left a lasting impression on him.
Orkortor Perry noted that 420 Drumz had consistently supported his musical journey without making financial demands, and he therefore felt it was only right to do something meaningful for him.
The musician also revealed an interesting connection between the vehicle and one of their musical projects.
He explained that the money used to purchase the Toyota Camry came from the proceeds he made from “Obiniyem,” a song 420 Drumz produced for him in 2020.
For Orkortor Perry, 420 Drumz deserved the car because he played a major role in producing the very song that generated the money used to acquire it.
He therefore decided to give the vehicle to his longtime engineer so that, in his own words, 420 Drumz would no longer have to walk around when he deserved to have a car of his own.
