Ghanaian gospel diva, Piesie Esther, has impressed most Ghanaians with her touching grass-to-grace story.

According to the gospel singer, contrary to the speculations that she grew up in a rich home, she really struggled to get to where she is now.

According to the ‘Waye Me Yie’ crooner, she even sometimes slept on an empty stomach during her struggling years because she was broke to the core and couldn’t afford food.

Speaking in an interview on Kumasi-based Hello FM, Piesie Esther said that extreme suffering in life can easily make anyone lose hope.

She reportedly said;

“What I’m thankful for and happy about is that no matter what the struggles I’ve been through God used that to prepare me for a better future.

“Sometimes you feel that you are suffering too much in this world and your suffering can make you lose hope,” she remarked on the show.

“But in those moments of your suffering if you are able to persevere in the Lord, that’s where you can be uplifted to honour you for your steadfastness,”

Most of our popular celebrities grew up in poor homes, they were only able to achieve the success we say because they never gave up on themselves.

Piesie Esther is a true testament to the fact that with prayers and determination, every dream is achievable.
