The President of the Republic, H.E Akuffo-Addo, as part of further measures the country is adapting to fight against the fast-spreading coronavirus disease, has come out to declare a holiday for all schools until further notice effective Monday, March 16, 2020.

According to him, the only people who will still be in school are the SHS 3 and JHS 3 students who are preparing for their final exams, WASSCE and BECE respectively, and stressed that even for them, it must be done under strict compliance of all the preventive measures.

He also in the recorded telecast banned all public gatherings including church services, weddings, funerals, festivals, political rallies, conferences and workshops for the next 4 weeks.
