A rep for Kojo Antwi has denied claims that he is raising funds online for his father’s funeral.

The high legend was blasted after a GoFundMe account created in his name and seeks to support his late father’s funeral popped up online.

A lot of social media users asked why he will be begging for money for his father’s funeral.

Dr Kofi Amoa-Abban even told Mr Antwi to sell some of his properties to finance the funeral.

Following this, Kojo Antwi’s rep, who spoke with Joy Entertainment, claimed the fundraising account was created purposely because of the funeral.

According to the rep, it is instead to set up The Maestro’s Love and Care Foundation which will provide scholarships to needy children and support for the visually impaired in society.

He claimed the account was set up following calls from loved ones of Kojo Antwi who wanted to donate towards his father’s funeral.

“Kojo Antwi, therefore, decided to open a GoFundMe account to make the process organised and smooth so he could also use the opportunity to lend a hand to the underprivileged in memory of his late father,” the rep clarified.

The popular musician targeted £1,000,000, an equivalent of GH₵14,741,026.20 with the GoFundMe fundraiser which was published under the ‘Funerals & Memorials’ category.
