Up and coming musician, Chikel Baibe, has shared the story about how her less than a year stay with a family friend nearly dampen her spirit as a young child who was trying to assimilate into society.

She revealed that she took the decision to go and stay with the family friend who had come to stay in their house for a funeral just because she wanted to have a feel of how staying with someone aside her mother was going to be like. She added that the decision is one she really regrets and will never repeat.

The ‘Kwaku’ hitmaker disclosed on the ‘Uncut’ show that she was made to sell sachet water every day, something she would have never done if she was staying with her mother. Aside this sad experience she added that there were other occasions she was denied of the basic things she needed.

Chikel Baibe stated that because she could cope with all these challenges she was facing and was afraid that the constant maltreatment will turn her into a bad girl, she parked all her belongings one day and went back to his mother.
