Police have arrested celebrated Ghanaian actor Lilwin in connection with a tragic accident that resulted in the death of a 3-year-old boy.
According to reports, the accident occurred when Lilwin’s Mercedes Benz AMG C43, driving at a top speed collided with another vehicle.
The incident sparked widespread calls for justice on social media, with netizens and the family of the deceased vocally demanding Lilwin’s arrest.
The actor’s detainment was delayed due to his ill health, but authorities have now taken him into custody.
Lilwin was arrested shortly after being discharged from the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
A video circulating on social media shows the actor being wheeled into a police vehicle and subsequently assisted by officers into the car for transportation to the police station.
