Ghana’s fastest and most decorated rapper, Michael Owusu Addo, in October 2019 made history once again, as he has was announced the very first winner of BET’s Best International Flow act.
The Sarkcess Music boss beat contenders like Nigerian rapper; Falz the Bad Guy, Ghetts from the United Kingdom, Kalash from France, Female rapper; Little Simz from the UK, South African hip pop prodigy; Nasty C, Tory Lanez of Canada to bring home the coveted award and the bragging rights.
Even though he was given the plaque on the night when he mounted the stage to give that acceptance speech which gave Ghana the needed recognition for the ‘Year Of Return’, just like the other award winners, he was not allowed to leave with it.
He has however finally received the plaque today, February 6, 2020, in the UK.
In a video sighted by zionfelix.net, Sarkodie was seen happily unpacking it.
The one thing that is evident in the video is the joy in his eyes as he does so. He is heard repeatedly saying that it is very heavy and gives huge applause to the BET.
