Popular dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah aka Shatta Wale, has finally talked about why he did not show up for the Hogbetsotso Beach Rave in Tegbi, Volta Region.

A few days ago the organizers of the event complained about the musician’s absence at the venue when the crowd were waiting for him to perform as the headline artiste.

Meanwhile, he was in town.

“It is interesting to note that Shatta Wale had shown up at the venue of the concert in vehicles rented for him and his team by the organizers yet could not be found afterwards. All efforts by the two management teams to get him to come to the concert grounds to perform to the waiting crowd proved futile,” they said in a statement.

The Shatta Movement boss has now broken his silence in a video sighted by Zionfelix.net.

He claimed he was disrespected by the organizers.

While they had no contract that binds him to conduct an interview, Wale stated that he was told he can’t get access to his hotel if he fails to grant an interview at a radio station.

The controversial musician wondered why they will drive him straight to the radio station with his luggage and ask him to grant an interview.

Shatta Wale questioned if foreign artistes who come to Ghana for events are treated in such a way.

According to him, he took the decision after one of the organizers stated that he can do what he wants if he won’t heed their direction.

He said a lot in the video below.
