Controversies about who is the richest Ghanaian musician has popped up a lot this year, with Shatta Wale claiming that he is the richest while the rest, including Sarkodie, are very poor.

However, according to a list zionfelix.net has spotted from Forbes Magazine, Sarkodie is the richest musician in Ghana.

The award-winning rapper joined the likes of Akon from Senegal who placed first on the list, Davido, Don Jazzy, and Wizkid from Nigeria, Oliver Mutukudzi and Tinashe from Zimbabwe, Hugh Masela and Black Coffee from South Africa.

From the list, Sarkodie placed sixth with a net worth of around $7 million.
