For years, the rivalry between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy has dominated conversations about Ghanaian dancehall, but Shatta Wale appears ready to entertain the possibility of the two artistes sharing a record.

The Shatta Movement boss has indicated that a musical collaboration with Stonebwoy could happen if the financial terms are attractive enough.

Shatta Wale made the revelation during an interview with Serwaa Amihere, where he was asked if there was any possibility of fans hearing him and Stonebwoy on the same song.

While he did not give a definite yes, he made it clear that he was not closing the door on the idea.

“Never say never, so maybe there might be, with good money,” he said.

Serwaa Amihere subsequently asked whether he would accept an offer from an investor who was prepared to pay for a joint song with Stonebwoy.

Shatta Wale’s answer suggested that money could be the deciding factor.

“Big money.”

The possibility of the two artistes collaborating would undoubtedly attract significant attention, given the history surrounding their relationship and the fierce loyalty of their respective fan bases.

Shatta Wale, however, insisted that there is no personal conflict between him and Stonebwoy and urged people to stop treating their relationship as a permanent feud.

“We are not fighting. Me and Stonebwoy… I don’t have any problem with him. People should just forget. It’s just one of those things,” he stated.

He also appeared to be amused by the thought of what a joint project could look like, joking that the occasion would reveal another side of his musical abilities.

“My voice will even come like Celine Dion. That’s the day Ghanaians will see that I can sing like Celine Dion, and I will even hug him in the video,” he said.

The conversation also brought up Stonebwoy’s recent concert at London’s OVO Arena.

Shatta Wale admitted that he did not watch the performance but said he had heard that the event had been successful.

When Serwaa Amihere suggested that he should congratulate Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale recalled an earlier situation in which an attempt to show support was allegedly misunderstood.

“The last time I was going to congratulate him, they said I was going to fight. I was just going on stage to congratulate him,” he recalled.

Shatta Wale was then confronted with claims that he still uses social media to take shots at Stonebwoy.

He rejected the accusation and instead claimed that supporters of Stonebwoy have recently been the ones attacking him.

“I don’t do that anymore. Now it’s them that want to attack me. I think they love me too much. Most of the Bhim fans are disappointed SM fans,” Wale stated.
