Ghanaian songstress Sista Afia recently found herself at the center of a social media storm, all thanks to a seemingly innocent question about Ghanaian footballer Antoine Semenyo.
The musician took to her social media pages to pose a playful query after Semenyo’s outstanding performance during the 2024 AFCON qualifier game between Ghana and the Central African Republic, which ended with Ghana securing a thrilling 2-1 victory.

Sista Afia’s curiosity got the best of her as she innocently asked, “Is Semenyo Single? I’m just asking.”
Little did she know that this simple inquiry would set the internet ablaze and generate a whirlwind of responses from fans and followers alike.
Some fans playfully teased the songstress for her newfound interest in the football star, suggesting that her curiosity might have been piqued by Semenyo’s recent surge in popularity.
Others, however, took a more protective stance, warning Sista Afia to leave Semenyo alone.
Amid all the reactions on social media and the subtle backlash, the ‘Carry Go’ crooner told Zionfelix in an interview on the Uncut show that the post was just a harmless one.
Sista Afia added that people who have followed her on social media are aware she plays such jokes and that she has made similar jokes about the likes of Kudus Mohammed, Iaki Williams, and Felix Afena Gyan in the past.
