Mr. Opoku Kwarteng, aka Starboy Kwarteng, the father of the late songstress, Ebony Reigns has revealed that ever since Bullet introduced Wendy Shay on the VGMA podium as the replacement for his daughter, he has not really had the time to listen to songs she has released and that the only time he had the chance to listen, he slept off.
Speaking on the reason why he slept off when Wendy Shay’s song was played, he revealed that there was a time he traveled by a public bus because his car was not around and as such the driver of the car he took played a song of hers which gave him the opportunity to listen to the ‘Uber Driver’ hitmaker’s song.
The about to be launched KwarBony records boss further revealed to Nana Romeo on Accra FM that he had planned to actually listen to the song till it ends but was unable because he was very tired and as such slept off while it was still playing.
On the debate about whether or not Bullet is making Wendy Shay copy the style his late beloved daughter used to sing, Nana Opoku Kwarteng stated that he couldn’t really tell because he has not actually taken time to listen to songs from Wendy Shay.
However, when Nana Romeo played Ebony’s ‘Hustle’ and Wendy Shay’s ‘Masakra’ for him to make the judgment, Mr. Opoku Kwarteng revealed that both ladies have different styles.
