Netizens who are fond of Popular Ghanaian socialite, Emil Wood, widely known as Nana Tonardo, might have noticed that sometime ago he was missing in action.
Apparently, it was not intentional at all as he has revealed in a recent interview he granted award-winning Ghanaian actor, Kwaku Manu on his Aggressive Interview show.
In the chat, he disclosed that he recently had a rather distressing experience where he woke up one morning to find his mouth contorted, inhibiting his ability to swallow, even though.
Odii Tonar as he is affectionately called by his fans added that at the time he was residing in the United States and when the situation initially started he feared he was afflicted with a serious medical condition, such as a stroke.
“I had a normal night’s sleep, but when I woke up, I was in a strange state. Swallowing saliva was impossible, and even drinking water was a challenge because it wouldn’t go down my throat. I realized my mouth was twisted to one side. To drink water, I had to angle my head to help it go down. I had gone to sleep without any issues, but I woke up with this abnormality. I began to wonder if I had a stroke because this sudden ailment was baffling,” he shared during an interview with Kwaku Manu.
Nana Tonardo added that his cousin from another state was the one who came to swiftly rush him to the emergency department of a nearby hospital upon learning of his condition.
He sadly added that when he arrived at the hospital, he encountered individuals who responded to his distress with laughter, compounding his distress.
The entertainer mentioned that it took a toll on his financial resources as it lasted for nine months to go through the treatment and other things that were required to get him back on his feet.
