Ghanaian hiplife artiste Strongman has questioned Medikal’s credentials as the “Rap Messiah” in the music industry.

The former Sarkcess Music signee said in an interview on Adom FM that the AMG rapper is just running his mouth and that he has not made enough music in the past four years to be making such huge claims.

According to Strongman, he had released about 13 songs just last year alone, something Medikal has not been able to do.

He added that hiphop is not only about hit songs and the fact that Medikal won the “Rapper of the year” award at the just ended VGMAs, an award which was based on the highest number of votes, does not give him the credentials to make such claims.

“Last year alone, i dropped 13 Rap songs. Somebody should ask Medikal how many Hiphop songs he’s released within that 4 years to claim he’s held Rap down four years ago. Forget him, he’s just running his mouth”.

“Rap is rap, Rap or Hiphop is not about hit songs. The fact that you won the Rapper of the Year should not make you be making claims which are untrue” Strongman said.

The “Omo Ada” hitmaker has come under heavy backlash after he alleged on social media that he saved Ghana Rap four years ago.

Several artistes have taken swipes at him for his comment including Pappy Kojo who posted his own award from VGMA four years ago.
