Award-winning Ghanaian musician and traditional leader Sparqlyn has officially released his much-anticipated new single, “Fameko,” featuring the talented singer Ziya.
The song, which became a major talking point ahead of its release, finally dropped on June 8, 2026, much to the excitement of music lovers who had eagerly awaited its arrival following weeks of promotion and anticipation across traditional and social media platforms.
Produced by Sparqlyn’s longtime producer Phills Beats, “Fameko” marks a notable shift from the musical style that fans have come to associate with the former Dunsin member.
Over the years, Sparqlyn has built a reputation through his Hiplife roots and, more recently, his successful exploration of Afrobeats.
However, his latest offering sees him venture into the rich sounds of Highlife music to deliver a love-themed record.
The song, “Fameko,” has Sparqlyn and Ziya combining their vocals beautifully to celebrate love and affection with a romantic message about a lover requesting to be taken away.
Their chemistry on the track is expected to attract praise from listeners.

He rose to prominence as a member of the award-winning music group Dunsin before embarking on a successful solo career. Sparqlyn over the years has continued to evolve musically with songs such as “Your Body,” “Tumpa,” “All Is Gone,” “Jump On Me” and many others.
Throughout his career, his artistry has earned him several notable nominations and awards, including a nomination for Hiplife Song of the Year at the 2009 Ghana Music Awards and nominations for Best Group of the Year, Best Choreography of the Year, and Best Storyline of the Year at the 2010 4Syte TV Music Video Awards as part of Dunsin.
