Evergreen gospel music duo, Lydia Dedei Yawson Nee Tagoe, and Elizabeth Korkoi Tagoe have been nominated in the upcoming Africa Gospel Awards (AGAFEST) which is slated to take place at the Fantasy Dome, Trade Fair in March this year.
They were nominated alongside Preachers and Daughters Of Glorious Jesus (Ghana) from Ghana and the Gratitude (Nigeria), Tim Godfrey And the Xtreme Crew (Nigeria), Spirit Of Praise (South Africa), Infinite Generation (South Africa).
Tagoe Sisters gained this nomination based on their performances and songs released by them from January 2017 to November 2018. This revelation was made by the Chief Executive Officer of AGAFEST, Prince Mackay during the nominee’s announcement which took place at the Holiday Inn hotel recently.
Aside Tagoe Sisters, Ghana received 79 nominations with 2017 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) winner Joe Mettle clocking 10 nominations. Nigeria followed suit with 75 nominations and Tim Godfrey getting 8 nominations. Doctor Tumi from South Africa received 6 nominations.
