Kumawood actor Oteele, known in private life as Stephen Mawunyo has disclosed that he charges at least Gh 1,500 cedis as his fees for the various roles in plays in movies.

Speaking on the ‘Uncut’ show Biggy stated that this charge is not a really fixed one, it may either go up or down sometimes based on the person who is contracting him for a role in the movie.

He emphasized that if the producer of a movie he is to be a cast of is one of the relatively new ones, then he might be tempted to charge him or her more because they tag such producers as “mugus”.

However, if it is a producer who has been in the business all these while, you can not cheat him or her in any way because they are already in the know about the charges for roles.

When Zionfelix asked him if it is true that they are sometimes paid as low as just GH 500 cedis for their roles in movies, Oteele stated that it can only be possible if the said actor has some great relationship with the particular producer. He stressed that because their work is not as vibrant as it was some years ago, a producer may offer to get an actor some fuel and that amount just shot a movie.
