Ras Kuuku, known in real life as Kojo Kurankye, has voiced his disappointment over the results of the Female Vocalist of the Year category at the recent Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).

In a candid interview on Daybreak Hitz with Andy Dosty, Ras Kuuku asserted that fellow musician, Gyakie, was more deserving of the award.

The “Me Mpaebo” hitmaker expressed his frustration, highlighting Gyakie’s significant contributions to the music industry over the past year.

“I think Gyakie should have won the Female Vocalist of the Year. She did a lot of work last year, especially with the songs she featured with the boy (North London’s rap riser JBEE) who is coming from the UK. She did well but she had nothing, why is that so?” Ras Kuuku questioned.

Ras Kuuku’s endorsement of Gyakie stems from her impressive body of work and her collaborations, which have garnered substantial acclaim.

He believes that her efforts and talent should have been recognized by the TGMA committee, reflecting the sentiments of many fans who share his view.
