After changing lives of madam Esther and Madam Comfort in Accra, Verna Natural Mineral Water has provided shelter for two homeless people in the district capital of the Ashanti Region, Kumasi under the Verna Changing Lives project.

The company through its flagship social responsibility program has provided accommodation and livelihood empowerment for Mr. Kofi Kissi and madam Ruby who were food on the streets in Accra. The two persons were announced to the public when the leading drinks manufacturing company Twellium Industrial Company officially launched its operations in the Ashanti Region.

Speaking at the official launch of operations of the Twellium Foundation in Kumasi on behalf of the Otumfuo, the Otumffuo’s Apagyahene Amokomhene Nana Adu Mensah Asare commended the company for its initiatives in the country. He added that the Asantehene has provided the company a plot of land just to support their operations in the region.

“On behalf of the Otumffuo and the Manhyia palace, I wish to commend you for doing this and employing our youth and to top it up; you are trying to fulfil your social responsibilities.”

The Head of Marketing for Twellium Industrial Company Limited Ali Ajami speaking at the event held at Golden Beam Hotel expressed his gratitude to the people of Kumasi and the Asantehene for the reception.

Explaining the motivation for setting up the Twellium Foundation, he indicated that it was a way for giving back to the Ghanaian society, which he described as being a pillar for the company’s success.

“We are doing this because Twellium Industrial Company Limited is a Ghanaian registered company and the manpower is ninety percent Ghanaian and we have seen that Ghanaians are patronizing our products because of the good quality and because they are patriotic about owning the products. I think that changing lives is the best way to congratulate people to tell them thank you for patronising our products,” He said.

Influential persons in the society who were at the launch of the company’s operations in the Ashanti Region on Sunday, May 21 included Nana Adu Asare Mensah (Amokomohene) Mr. Henry Abgeve (Rep. Regional Police Commander), Mr. Francis Odwira Darkwo (Rep. Deputy Regional Minister), Dr. Akpalu (CEO of KATH), Dr. Breanya (Rep. KNUST Vice Chancellor) and many others.

Twellium Foundation was established in the year 2014 and officially launched in the year 2016 in the capital Accra has so far provided accommodation and livelihood empowerment to targeted vulnerable persons in Accra and Kumasi.

Twellium Industrial Company is producers of Verna Water, American Cola, Rush Energy Drink, Planet range of drinks, and Bubble Up.
