The Garden City of Ghana, Kumasi was literally on fire last night when the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Nominees Jam returned to the City after seven solid years of hiatus.
Music lovers from the city who gathered at the forecourt of the Kumasi City Mall were treated to some great rhythms and lyrics of most of Ghana’s favourite stage performers.
Among the top performers who thrilled music lovers at the jam were afro-dancehall musician Stonebwoy, dancehall star Shatta Wale, hiplife/afrobeats duo Dopenation, Kumasi-based rapper Flowking Stone, highlife songstress Adina, Tema-based rapper Yaa Pono, actor cum musician Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin, afrobeats newcomer Wendy Shay, gospel songstress Obaapa Christy, Kumasi top gospel star Kweku Gyasi, and other rising stars.
The event was sponsored by Vodafone and presented by recently adjudged Liqueur of the year at the maiden Ghana Beverage Awards, Kpoo Keke. The show was aired live on TV3, YFM and DSTV.
