Ghana’s beloved actor and philanthropist, Dr. Likee, who is also well known to many as Ras Nene, decided to put together a surprise for the inmates at Kumasi Central Prisons as part of their pre-Yuletide celebrations in 2023.

Collaborating with the renowned Papa Kumasi, this charitable endeavor aimed to spread joy and support to those spending the holiday season behind bars.

The initiative saw not just the presence of Dr. Likee and Papa Kumasi but also a constellation of Ras Nene’s esteemed team members, including Ama Tundra, Wofa Shifo, Kyekyeku, 39/40, C Confion, Atadwe, Strika, and several others, all rallying together to make a positive impact in the lives of those incarcerated.

During their visit on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, Dr. Likee took the opportunity to offer counsel and guidance to the inmates.

He empathetically highlighted the significance of lifting their spirits during a period where they are devoid of familial bonds due to their confinement.

The visit wasn’t solely about material donations. In addition to the contributions made to the prison, the day was filled with vibrant activities, including fun games and captivating musical performances.

These engaging activities were designed to bring smiles to the faces of the inmates, many of whom might have been either convicted for their deeds or wrongfully incarcerated.
