However, like many public figures, Kisa Gbekle has constantly found herself in the crosshairs of media sensationalism and headline distortion, and it appears that she has finally had enough.

Speaking with Zionfelix on the Uncut show, Kisa mentioned that sometimes she gets infuriated when social media users lambast her because of some of the headlines that come with stories published about her.

She made the remark that it is high time netizens in Ghana go beyond the headlines given to stories about her and read the full stories in order to get a better understanding of the things that are mostly attributed to her.

The ‘Korkor’ crooner singled out her infamous “2022 is an ashawo season” comment made during an interview at the 2022 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards that sparked controversy and ignited a firestorm of discussion on social media as a clear case.

Kisa Gbekle said that this particular remark was made by Kwaku Arthur, however, her decision to repeat it was misinterpreted.

She ended with a plea to bloggers to try as much as possible to make their reports devoid of some of these needlessly sensational stories.
