In a recent revelation during an episode of Kwaku Manu’s ‘Aggressive Interview’ show, Ghanaian TikTok sensation Akonoba opened up about a painful chapter in his life.

The popular TikToker recounted the moment his father disowned him for pursuing a path deemed unconventional.

Akonoba, known for his vibrant and entertaining TikTok videos, shared that his father’s rejection stemmed from his decision to create content that challenged societal norms.

According to him, the breaking point for his father was the moment he choose to wear kaba and slit, traditionally considered women’s clothing in Ghana, as part of his video creations.

Akonoba added that the disapproval reached its peak when his father decided to sack him from the family home, leaving Akonoba feeling abandoned.

During this challenging time, Akonoba revealed that it was his mother who stepped in with concern for her son’s well-being.

Well, fast forward to today, Akonoba has become one of the most sought-after TikTokers in Ghana, achieving remarkable success in the digital realm.

He disclosed that his father has interestingly changed his stance.

According to Akonoba, his father now not only accepts but proudly brags about his son’s achievements.

“He calls me just to speak, especially when he’s around people, so they know I’m his son,” Akonoba shared.
