The legendary highlife musician on the show over the weekend hailed the young musician for writing such a song. He disclosed on the show that he has been searching for the contact of Kuami Eugene for long just to help him get massive airplay in Nigeria.
The Maestro further said he wants to communicate with promoters in Nigeria to help promote the ‘Angela’ tune for the Lynx Entertainment artiste. To him, Nigerians must give Kuami Eugene all the support he needs because Ghanaians always jump to their songs when they are released.
“Do you know I called Lovin C asking for the young gentleman who performed the Angela song? I need to speak to that young man and know how his team around him are helping. I’ve called a friend in Nigeria because I’m going to send him that track and I want him to make sure Nigerians play it.
That song deserves to be everywhere. The way the young man did it was beautiful and he performed it with this Nigerian feel. I want to see that particular song (Angela) flying over there (Nigria). I’ve started making calls so that I help push that song in Nigeria.
He (Kuami Eugene) does not know about what I’m saying now. I’ve not even talked to him yet but I feel so strong that we need to push him out there. I’ll help him shine if I can and Nigerians must give him support because we also give them support here.” Kojo Antwi told Mike 2 on Adom Entertainment Hall.
