Ex-President John Dramani Mahama has a message for Ghanaians ahead of the Black Stars’ match against Comoros.

Many Ghanaian soccer fans are displeased—as the team have not recorded any win in the AFCON 2021.

In the midst of the backlash, Mr Mahama in a post sighted by Zionfelix.net has called on Ghanaians to support the Black Stars.

He stressed that they represent our national pride, hence, the need for us to support them.

“Ghana plays Comoros today at the #AFCON2021 to fight for the third position in the group; in order to possibly qualify for the next stage of the tournament.

“This is not the tight situation we expected, considering the pedigree of Ghana’s Black Stars in football history.

“But the Black Stars are our team and represent the symbol of our national pride. We must support them with one heart and urge them to fly the flag of Ghana very high with utmost commitment, concentration and courage.

“I wish the Black Stars the very best outcome in today’s encounter with Comoros. Go Black Stars! Go!” the NDC flagbearer wrote.

A win for Ghana is vital because it will be the only means to qualify for the next stage of the tournament.
