Ghanaian songstress, Wendy Shay, has stated that some artistes are given awards even if they don’t deserve them.
She made this claim in an interview with Sammy Flex on Zylofon FM which was monitored by Zionfelix.net.
The ‘Uber Driver’ singer said there are two types of artistes in the Ghanaian music industry.

She mentioned artistes in the industry and industry artistes.
Wendy Shay tagged herself as an artiste in the industry.
According to her, the industry artistes are the people’s favourites—and they are pampered.
While she has to work hard to get an award, the Rufftown Records artiste averred industry artistes are given awards even if they do not deserve them.
Due to this, she said she didn’t want to waste the time of her fans to vote in the recent Vodafone Ghana Music Awards after she was nominated.
Wendy Shay added that it was obvious she was not going to win.
