Wode Maya Becomes First Ghanaian Youtuber To Claim The YouTube Gold Play Button

Ghanaian Youtuber Kobina Ackon who is popularly known as Wode Maya has become the first Ghanaian content creator on the video streaming app to claim the YouTube Gold Play Button recognition.

The award made of gold-plated brass touched down in the country yesterday.

Wode Maya made the announcement in a tweet while reminding his fans that he might carry the award everywhere he goes to celebrate his great achievement.

The YouTube Gold Play Button is awarded to youtibers who reached the 1 million subscribers milestone on the platform.

Wode Maya achieved that target in December 2021 becoming the first Ghanaian to reach 1 million subscribers on YouTube.
