Founder and leader of Heaven’s Way Tabernacle Church, Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, has shared her prison experience with the general public during a Thanksgiving ceremony at her church last Sunday.
Speaking to her, the controversial televangelist disclosed that she felt the world had ended for her after she was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment.
According to her, she murmured ‘Tufiakwa’ just after the judge passed the judgment.
While sharing her prison experience, he also argued that prison does not necessarily reform individuals, but rather can make them more daring.
According to Nana Agradaa, true change can only come from within and not as a result of being incarcerated.
“Prison doesn’t change a person. It only increases one’s boldness. A person can only change from their bad ways on their own terms,” she told the worshippers.
Nana Agradaa also reflected on her own legal troubles, recalling that she initially believed her 15-year sentence marked the end of her journey.
However, she expressed gratitude to God for what she described as a miraculous turn of events, which led to her early release.
“I thought it was the end of the road for me, but God being so good, I have been released earlier than expected,” she said.
Her comments have since sparked mixed reactions among the public, with some agreeing that personal transformation must be self-driven, while others argue that correctional facilities are meant to rehabilitate offenders.
