Questions surrounding the arrest of social media commentator and diehard Shatta Movement supporter WebkidAfrika, known privately as Abdul Gafaru Sadi, have taken a new turn after his lawyer identified Stonebwoy as the complainant in the case.

Speaking on Asempa FM on May 11, 2026, the lawyer disclosed that his client is currently facing four charges tied to alleged online publications and conduct. According to him, the charges include publishing false information about the Afro-dancehall artiste, offensive behaviour, and actions likely to disturb public peace.

The lawyer explained that the charge sheet listed Livingstone Etse Satekla, popularly known as Stonebwoy, as the complainant. He added that the musician, described in the document as a resident of Adjirigano, was specifically named in the case filed against the blogger.

The claims, however, appear to clash with comments earlier made by Stonebwoy’s public relations representative, Vida Adutwumwaa, who denied suggestions that the musician orchestrated the arrest.

During a conversation with ZionFelix at the 2026 edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards on May 9, Vida maintained that security authorities acted on their own and that linking the arrest directly to Stonebwoy was inaccurate.

She indicated that the musician had no authority to order anyone’s arrest, insisting that all they became aware of was a court directive that eventually led to WebkidAfrika being picked up by authorities.

Vida also suggested that the blogger’s own conduct on social media may have contributed to his troubles. She alleged that he had repeatedly targeted prominent personalities online, including the Asantehene, and argued that the public should not immediately conclude that Stonebwoy was behind the incident.
