Prophet Nigel Gaisie, founder of Prophetic Hill Chapel, has withdrawn the GH¢10 million defamation lawsuit he filed against Prophet Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Kumchacha.
The legal clash began after comments made by Kumchacha in public discussions and on social media, which Gaisie described as harmful to his image and ministry. He alleged that Kumchacha had accused him of using church members to gather personal details, which were then allegedly presented as divine revelations during his prophetic work.
In a Facebook post sighted on June 10, 2026, Prophet Gaisie confirmed that he had opted to discontinue the case following repeated appeals from influential members of the clergy and spiritual leadership.
“Many men of God called on me to discontinue the case, though it was extremely difficult for me to agree because of the level of damage and hurt the said man of God and his cohorts have caused me over the years.
“Following advice from my spiritual father, Prophet Emmanuel Amoako, Reverend Agyenim Boadu, Reverend Kojo Bempah, Prophet Aginco, Prophet Maxwell Acheampong, Professor Boadi Nyamkye, Prophet Nana Yaw, Jesus One Touch, and many other men and women of God, I decided not to turn them down. Therefore, I have instructed that the specific case be discontinued,” he said.
Despite withdrawing the suit, Gaisie made it clear that the matter is not entirely closed. He cautioned Kumchacha against further public statements about him, warning that any repeat of such comments could land them back in court.
He explained that his decision to step back was influenced by respect for appeals from the clergy, but stressed that he would not hesitate to pursue legal action again if he feels provoked.
Gaisie also expressed frustration over what he described as a lack of support during difficult moments, urging commentators and critics to refrain from circulating narratives about his ministry and personal work.
“But let it be on record that if he does that to me or to any investment connected to me again, I will return to court and respectfully not listen to anyone this time. Ministry work, business, and every achievement are not easy to attain, so people should mind their own business and allow others to live in peace and do their work.
“Again, out of the respect I have for the body of Christ, I have listened, but he should be spoken to and told not to mention my name again. We are only colleagues in ministry; I do not share anything with him privately,” he further stated.
