Social media has been thrown into a frenzy after a video surfaced showing Ghanaian parents rewarding their daughter with a brand new car immediately after she completed her senior high school education.

The young lady, identified as Patricia Owusu, a proud graduate of St. Monica’s Senior High School, from videos seen online received a white Toyota car from her parents as the surprise graduation gift.

The videos also show the family celebrating in grand style as the young graduate stood in disbelief and joy over the unexpected present.

The moment has since sparked widespread reactions across social media platforms, with many netizens expressing shock, admiration, and debate over the gesture.

While some users praised the parents for rewarding hard work and motivating their daughter, others questioned the level of luxury attached to a senior high school completion gift.

Well, it must be noted that apart from this, the graduation ceremony itself turned into a memorable event, with several parents showing up in large numbers to celebrate alongside their wards.

The celebration comes at a time when thousands of students across Ghana are wrapping up their final examinations. The West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) is expected to conclude for most candidates by June 17, 2026, bringing an end to the senior high school academic calendar for the year.
