The long-running succession saga surrounding the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo saw a new twist on Monday, July 7, 2026, after his long-awaited will was finally read at the High Court in Accra.
The court proceedings, which had been eagerly anticipated by many Ghanaians, reportedly confirmed Kwadwo Safo Akofena, also known as Kwadwo Safo Jnr, as the successor chosen by the founder of the Kristo Asafo Mission and the Kantanka Group.
Shortly after the court session ended, videos that have since gone viral on social media captured an emotional Kwadwo Safo Akofena after he reportedly arrived home. In the clips, the businessman was seen shedding tears as family members and close associates surrounded him in what appeared to be an overwhelming moment following the court’s ruling.
The touching scenes have generated massive reactions online, with many social media users describing the tears as a mixture of relief, gratitude and deep emotions after months of public controversy.
Apart from this video, Kwadwo Safo Akofena also took to his Instagram page with a post that has left many people talking. Instead of issuing a lengthy statement, he shared an old photograph of himself and his late father during a public function. In the photo, Apostle Kwadwo Safo is seen affectionately placing his hand on his son in what many have described as a symbolic fatherly blessing.
Interestingly, Akofena chose not to write a single word alongside the photo. The image was posted without any caption on his Instagram story, leaving followers to draw their own conclusions
