There have been numerous reports about the failure of Black Sherif to perform at this year’s ‘Ghana Party In The Park’.
In many of the reports, it has been alleged that the 2022 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards ‘Best New Artiste of the Year’ was allegedly scheduled to perform at the Ghana Party in the Park in London, however, he failed to show up because of some monetary issues.
Hitz FM in a report shared on their various social media handles disclosed that an insider revealed that Black Sherif could not perform at the concert because his team was demanding an amount of £50,000 instead of the £10,000 the organizers were offering.
A source claims organizers of #GhanaPartyInThePark proposed a sum of £10,000 (GHS 97,642) performance fee for Black Sherif, but the artist's team demanded £50,000 (GHS 488,213).— Hitz 103.9 FM (@Hitz1039FM) July 20, 2022

Well, this and many more have been said but finally, a journalist who is also close to Black Sherif team has come to react and offer counter facts.
Citi FM/TV’s Emmanuel Kwame Sarpong who is affectionately called Olele Salvador in a detailed write-up sighted on his social media pages revealed that the reports making rounds on social media are utterly false.
According to him, Black Sherif never requested to be paid an amount of £50,000 before he made an appearance at the party in the park.
He disclosed that a ‘gatekeeper’ in the industry was the one who called Black Sherif to make an offer of £10,000 after Black Sherif had told the CEO of the event that his initial £5,000 was not good enough because he had already spent a little over $50,000 to be in the UK himself.
However, the CEO did not come back to him with any new offer only for this ‘gatekeeper’ to call and threaten Black Sherif that if fails to accept the £10,000 and make an appearance at the party in the park, “next year, we go see!”.
According to Olele, it was this that infuriated Black Sherif and his team to decide that they will not be at the concert and not because of the money.
