Bernard Aduse Poku on Celebrity Ride with Zionfelix show

If you carefully study the movie industry, you would realise that many actors you used to watch on your screens are currently missing in action.

Whilst some are still in the country but producers and directors are no longer casting them for movies, others have relocated to other countries with a majority of them living in the USA and other European countries. Names like Rose Mensah aka Kyeiwaa, Barbara Newton aka Atwe, Prince David Osei, Isaac Amoako, Gloria Agyemang and many others hurriedly come to mind whenever the discussion of actors who are staying outside is raised.

Bernard Aduse Poku who says he has been acting for about twenty years has given reasons why he thinks most Ghanaian actors including himself have decided to move out of the country.

Speaking on Celebrity Ride With Zionfelix show on Angel TV, the father of one popularly known as Koo Musuo opined that most of his colleagues tote their luggage out of the country to stay outside with different reasons but he believes the standard of living is a major factor. He explained that majority of the actors after years of working in Ghana are not comfortable with the degree of wealth and material comfort available to them so they decide to move to the USA, U.K and other countries. Mr. Aduse Poku quickly added that there are several opportunities outside the country actors enjoy when they leave Ghana so they should not be blamed when they decide to relocate.

On why he, Bernard Aduse Poku is now residing in New York City, the alumnus of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, KNUST revealed that he has his nuclear family over there. He again added that education is one of the many factors that made him fly to Donald Trump’s country of 50 states covering a vast swath of North America.
