After sixteen Yi days of being on the road to make history for themselves and the country, the Wanderlust Ghana team, has finally arrived in the United Kingdom.

The journey, which covered a staggering 10,000 kilometers, had 13 Ghanaians, including twelve men and one woman, made the trip.

The team passed through countries like Senegal, Mauritania, Western Sahara, Morocco, Spain, France and eventually arrived in the United Kingdom today, Sunday, August 6, 2023.

Prior to their arrival, a lot of Ghanaians who are happy about the feat achieved by these thirteen brave individuals were already gathered at the Ashford Designer Outlet Mall to welcome them and congratulate them as well.

Sharing some videos of the crowd gathered at the mall, the team disclosed that they were humbled at the gesture and stressed that they had goosebumps seeing the crowd.

Already, the team has revealed that they have a lot of interviews scheduled to speak about his historic feat and what they intend to use the money gathered from the fund they created to do in society as part of their philanthropic work.

When they arrived in Spain on Friday, one of the team members known as Saka, in an interview with Kwame Sefa Kayi of Peace FM, shared their motivation for embarking on the bold trip. 

He explained that they were inspired by stories of people traveling from foreign countries to Ghana and other African nations.

They decided to turn the tables and attempt this adventure as a fun activity, showcasing their adventurous spirit and passion for exploration.

“We are explorers and we are doing this for fun. We read about people driving from Europe to Ghana all the time, and we also planned to do it and we are almost there,” he said.
