Agya Koo and Daddy Lumba

The Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Catherine Abelema Afeku has announced at a press interaction in Accra that Agya Koo TV and Daddy Lumba TV will be launched soon to boost locally produced contents – movies and music.

The two platforms she said are mobile applications which can be accessed by any individual on earth when the user owns a smartphone. Zionfelix.net gathers that Agya Koo TV will be launched on Sunday, February 4 at the Accra Mall.

The Daddy Lumba TV the minister said will also be premiered in March this year.

“Over a period of time in our first year, we have been in talks with a private sector operator who is into the business of placing Ghanaian content at the disposal of viewers throughout the world. Artists will be signed on to produce popular content – including already existing content – that will run as a series in the name of the artist. I am happy, this morning, to announce that the first in the series, titled AGYA KOO TV, will be premiered next Sunday at Accra Mall. Barring any obstacles, a DADDY LUMBA TV will be ready next month. As an app, one does not have to have a TV set to watch Agya Koo TV or Daddy Lumba’s series on Daddy Lumba TV. Wherever you are in the world, all you need is a smart phone. Ladies and gentlemen, we are proud to announce this as the Ministry’s PPP initiative. Like the other projects in both tourism, arts and culture, such initiatives take months, some even years, to negotiate and bring into fruition. Please, bear with us.” Catherine Afeku said at meet the press event held in Accra on Monday, January 29 2017.
