The Chief Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Prisons Service, Courage Atsem, has revealed that Akuapem Poloo known in real life as Rosemond Brown amy be handed a reduced sentence.
According to him, this would be possible and could be activated should Poloo exhibit good behaviour during her time of incarceration.

Courage Atsem said people convicted for non-first degree felony offences such as Akuapem Poloo’s are qualified for what he described as one-third remission sentence.
He however noted that the decision did not lie with him but would be discussed where a conclusion would be drawn whether to grant early release or not.
This comes after the actress was sentenced to a 90-day jail term for posting a photo of herself and her son which the law described as obscene.

The actress was convicted and sentenced based on her own guilty plea after she was arraigned before court following a case filed against her by the Child Rights International (CRI).
Following the sentence, many social media users, celebs from Ghana and Nigeria and some concerned parties have called for her to be released.
A hashtag, #FreeAkuapemPoloo, has been started for the actress to get people to sign a petition which would activate President Akufo-Addo’s involvement in the case.
