Dan Kwabena Junior has stated that he and gospel musician Anita Afriyie are still legally married, insisting that their union has never been formally dissolved despite recent reports suggesting the singer has welcomed a baby girl with an alleged new partner.
Speaking during a TikTok Live session, Dan dismissed claims that they are divorced, maintaining that they remain husband and wife under the law.
According to him, several of Anita Afriyie’s personal belongings, including a copy of her Green Card, are still in his possession, which he believes reflects the fact that their marriage has not officially ended.
“Anita Afriyie and I have not divorced. All her belongings, including a copy of her Green Card, are still with me,” he said.
Addressing widespread reports that the gospel musician had welcomed a child with another man, Dan said he could not independently confirm the claims. However, he noted that if the reports were true, he would consider it adultery because, in his view, they are still legally married.
“I can’t confirm that she has given birth. It is possible the reports are not true,” he added.
Despite the ongoing speculation surrounding their relationship, Dan stressed that he has no intention of publicly attacking Anita Afriyie or engaging in a war of words.
He explained that while some people may be expecting him to respond with anger or make damaging allegations, he has deliberately chosen a different path.
Dan also revealed that he had heard Anita Afriyie would soon be returning to Ghana. Rather than expressing bitterness, he said he was praying for her safe journey and noted that their children would be delighted to see her.
He reiterated that anyone hoping he would publicly criticise or insult the gospel singer would be disappointed, insisting that he has no plans to attack her despite the rumours circulating online.
