Not long after reclaiming the coveted Artiste of the Year crown at the 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards, Black Sherif is already setting his sights on an even bigger milestone. The award-winning musician believes a third victory is well within reach, insisting that the grind has not slowed down despite his latest success.
During an interview with Cookie Tee on TV3, the “Iron Boy” composer opened up about the possibility of becoming the first Ghanaian artiste to win the Artiste of the Year award three times.
For Black Sherif, the recent triumph is not a signal to relax. Instead, he says it has only pushed him to work even harder.
According to him, barely hours after lifting the prestigious award in the early hours of Sunday morning, he had already resumed work the next day.
“It’s possible, most definitely possible. Cause am still working, I’m back to work. We won the award Sunday dawn, back to work Monday, we are still working. It’s hundred percent possible,” he stated.

The artiste explained that staying consistent remains his biggest priority, adding that there is no time to become complacent after achieving another major career milestone. He believes that same determination and discipline could eventually earn him a historic third Artiste of the Year title.
The discussion came up after Cookie Tee highlighted the fact that while a few Ghanaian music icons have managed to win the award twice, none has ever secured it for a third time.
“No artiste in Ghana so far has won Artiste of the Year three times; you’ve now joined a number of legends like VVIP, like Sarkodie, like Stonebwoy who have won it twice. Is Iron Boy Blacko going to win the artiste of the year for the third time?” the host asked.
Before Black Sherif’s latest triumph, only VVIP, Sarkodie and Stonebwoy had recorded multiple Artiste of the Year wins at the TGMAs.
