An old prophecy made about Ghanaian musician Black Sherif by preacher Prophet Fire Oja has resurfaced online, igniting widespread reactions on social media.
In a video originally shared in January 2025, Prophet Fire Oja predicted that Black Sherif’s music career would decline from that year onward.
According to the clergyman, the musician would stop producing hit songs and face serious setbacks in his career.
The preacher further claimed that “evil forces” had spiritually interfered with the artist’s gift.
He alleged that Black Sherif’s tongue, the source of his songwriting ability and music success, had been spiritually replaced.
A development he claimed could negatively affect the singer’s future in the music industry.
Prophet Fire Oja also stated that the musician’s career could only survive with intervention from powerful men of God.
The prophecy has resurfaced following Black Sherif’s recent success at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards, where he emerged as Artiste of the Year.
Many social media users have since pointed to the achievement as evidence that the prophecy did not come to pass.
