This claim he made has been described as unfair by PRO for the event company, Charterhouse when speaking to Zionfelix on Radio Univers’ Brunch2Lunch mid-morning show on Monday. Mr. Quaye on the program said, “I’ve repented after I met Jesus  else you know how I would have responded to Patapaa‘s assertion.” He further dared the singer to prove his assertion with facts else he should publicly apologise to the board, academy of the awards and the general public.

“If Patapaa has an evidence of us taking money from any nominee, heshould release else he should apologise to the board, academy and the general public for that comment. W will release the votes very soon so that we all see how everybody performed on the night. It is a very unfortunate statement from him.” he said.

When Zionfelix asked if he would discipline for the allegation if he fails to say sorry as demanded, George Quaye answered that “we’ve been trying hard for people to  understand that they can make their grievances known without insults so I won’t push for any punishment for him but I’m appealing to him as a brother to apologise because some of the people on the board might even be older than his father so to disrespect them by making such allegation is unfortunate. If he still stands by the claim and does not want to say he has regretted, we cannot force him because it is his choice.”
